Campground by the Ocean

I tent camped here on a September weeknight. The campground is very spacious on a bluff overlooking the ocean. Very few other campers so I had plenty of options for sites. It was cool, sunny, and no wind-perfect weather! Stunning views all around, with a trailhead to Stillwater Cove. Very quiet and relaxing stay here!

Picture perfect views!

The views are worth the drive!  The cliffs are just spectacular and there are places to walk and explore the coast, albeit it can be windy. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and there were plenty of spots to choose from. Most campsites are fairly spacious, the general store is well stocked and prices are reasonable. The outdoor showers are a win, as we stayed 4 nights and it was so quite once the weekend passed. If the guy with the BBQ oysters is set up on the weekend - they are fabulous! Cafe Aquatica in Jenner has amazing chowda and quaint outdoor seating. Sunsets for days...

One of the best campgrounds ever!

Amazing campground. There were a ton of open spots in early may when we arrived at this FCFS campground. We found a dope spot right at the edge of the bluff with an amazing view for our sprinter van. Dry camping, but a ton of room for our kids to run around too.

Views are unbeatable.

Awesome place by the beach

RV dry camping by the beach. Great views and plenty of space. Host closes store at 5pm. Drove right in and set up camp. There’s potable water to fill up your tank. Port-a-potty’s and no dump station.

Camp by the sea

Lots of spots to set up camp, and if you angle right you can have a view of the ocean, if the fog doesn’t prevent it. $35 cash price, no running water amenities, no power.

Great location, lots of sites, windy.

Beautiful spot to go camping. First time here, tent camped in a halfdome 2+. Second day was so windy one of the poles bent! Saw several tents mangaled and in the trash.
Know how to anchor your tent! Lots of RV's. Quiet at night. Trails to the beach, and at low tide there was so much sea life for my son and I to explore.
We saw 1 shower building with 4 showers, $2.50 in quarters. Boat launch for med to small boats. Fish cleaning station.

We came Fathers day weekend, didn't have problem getting a site late in the day. $35 cash $40 credit card price for tent with 1 vehicle. The store has a good selection. Firewood is light weight, but a big bundle is Cash only $9.

I'd go back.

Picture Perfect

Got to Ocean Cove mid week and was able to snag a spot on the bluff overlooking the cove. Clean sites with picnic tables and fire pits. $30 cash or $35 cc. No amenities. I saw Porta potties but didn’t use them. No ATT service. Although went for a walk down on the rocks south of the camp and my phone dinged with some 5G. If you fish or dive this is a great base camp. Amazing sunsets and the little store has coffee and and little things you might of forgot. About 30 minutes north of Bodega Bay.

Nice!

Nice private campground, $35 a night or $30 if you pay cash. Private beach/boat ramp and path leading to the state park and trails along the bluffs. Not a lot of privacy between sites. Porta Potty’s and the showers were outdoor stalls with no roof, but water got hot fast, $2 in quarters for 5 mins. I didn’t get any T-Mobile service. Safe and quiet at night

Convenient store and beautiful view

I have been here in august. Its at night a bit chilly but the view is beautiful. I loved that there is a little store you can go across and get if you forgot something to bring. It also has great hiking spots to go and watch the sun go down and if you’re into fishing a ramp.

Ocean Cove is one of our favorites

Ocean Cove is a private campground right off Highway one. The owners are very friendly and helpful and they also own the grocery store across from the campsites. The prices are good and it is very family friendly (including dogs). We try to get here once a year if possible. The views of the Pacific from the bluffs are just beautiful, and there are plenty of places to explore a short distance from the campgrounds. There are port-a-potties, coin operated showers, boat launch, fish cleaning station and potable water available. Tent, Trailer, or RV are welcome here.

Love this campground

Always windy. Great scenery, and many of the tent sites are tucked away in little nooks and crannies for privacy if you don’t want the more open outer ring sites.

Beautiful!

We camped right on an ocean cliff in October of 2019 and it was the most beautiful campsite we’ve ever stayed at! Coin operated showers were adequate. Port-a-potties were also fine. Campsites are far enough a part with picnic tables and a fire ring.

Pretty views overlooking the ocean(ish) without any luxuries

Easy stop next to Point Arena lighthouse.$28 per night. Has porta potties for bathrooms. Not a lot of privacy but it is overlooking the ocean.

It was a last minute late night stop and I would use it as a overnight but not an extended trip. We didn’t spend any time there outside of sleeping and visiting the lighthouse.

Beautiful location

We’ve been here twice now, the second time we brought our dog. Pro/con: it’s first come first serve. This works for us because we usually decide to go camping last minute, and the places you can book online are all booked up. This way we can get a head start on Friday and get a good spot before evening. It doesn’t have bathrooms, but it’s fine, they have port a potties set up. The spots are grassy and over half the campground has ocean views. We like the area set back over the hill and there’s no breeze at all and super quiet and spacious. There’s a boat launch and a nice trail that goes along the sea cliffs. One of my favorite campgrounds on the coast

Awesome

Great campsite! Right on the bluffs with the ocean beating on the rocks below you. Four large group sites with 70+ first come first serve sites. Boat access and cleaning station for fishermen. Absolutely no cell reception which is fantastic!

The best dry camping in California

I have been camping here for 32 years, it’s a private campground very clean and beautiful. There are portapotties that are cleaned often, hot showers that cost money and if you have a boat you can launch from there. The campsites are big and it’s not usually full, spots are first come first serve unless you are doing a large group. There are many coves or inlets you can climb down into to look at tide pools. If you haven’t been here you should go it’s beautiful!
