Something for everyone - forest, fishing, history, beach, nice campsites

As others have noted, the campground is huge, with multiple loops of sites that are a bit closer together than we would have liked, and cell phone service was poor, but otherwise it was a good choice for our first trip in a travel trailer.  Thank goodness for the dump station with multiple lanes because I had unknowingly driven 2+ hours from Salem over the coast range with the gray tank full!

We checked out the fort and the beach but mostly enjoyed getting to know our rig in a beautiful setting. We stayed over until Monday and got to see the staff in action, meticulously tidying up every site.  No wonder it’s such a clean and inviting campground.  We will definitely go again, and yes, the return drive was a lot easier with empty water tanks!
