Peaceful Place

We've stayed here at Cooper Lake several times, and always enjoyed our stay. This is the first time we stayed in the Doctor Unit. The views are mostly wooded with some peak-through areas of the lake. We came after Spring break and before the Summer crazy, Sunday through Wednesday. So there aren't many campers at this time. The sites are clean and spacious, paved roads to ride bikes on, and RV pads, no sewer hook ups at the site, but has electric and water, and a dump station; they are well spaced, a little dated, but overall gives you the chance to lay low and get away from the big loud throngs of the masses! There is a nice day use area and restrooms available, although we didn't use either! Reservations required. Of course, summer may be a whole other can of worms with kids everywhere! 😉 We didn't fish or boat on this trip, but we hear both are good here! There are several trails that looked good, but we didn't use them this time. Most folks with pets adhere to the leash rules, but there's always someone who won't. Thumbs up for a nice place to camp!
