Stayed at this campground for a Sun./Mon. night end of September, so "missed the weekend crowds" which was just fine.  Friendly staff, very clean bathrooms, nice campsites, firewood available to purchase as you checked in, all very nice and convenient.  Just a 2 mile drive to the Mt. Monadnock HQ & visitor center, and the $25 per night campsite fee includes a parking place to hike Monadnock. There's also the longer hike to the mountain from the campground if you don't mind the extra ~ 1-1/2 miles each way, though it seems those miles are relatively flat. Definitely recommend!
