Worth the Trip

We’ve been back several times from my previous review. Since our first trip we’ve requested to be in the “overflow” which is electric only but way more spread out without a city street right next to your camper. The area is all grass so much more enjoyable with young kids.

This really is a great city campground. The city of Warroad itself is a lot of fun. We enjoy the bike trail that starts at the campground and would bring you all the way to the golf course (~5 miles) if you desired. Speaking of the golf course, it’s an 18 hole challenging course with reasonable green fees. While you are halfway there, checkout Springsteel Resort and Marina for a good meal or cold drink. Near the campground itself is the Nomad Tavern, a great spot for pizza and cold drinks.

The campground/park has everything for a family to enjoy. The playground is nice, there are picnic shelters and a one-of-a-kind natural outdoor pool with a sand bottom! You can swim in the lake as well as there is a nice sand beach there. The shower house is clean and the grounds are well kept.

Jeff the manager is very responsive and helpful when needed. We’ll be back!
