Shady and close to the creek with friendly hosts!

This was one of the best non-lakeside campsites I stopped at while moving along Mirror Lake Hwy! It had plenty of shade and was very close to the Lower Provo River. Each campsite had a picnic table and a permanent fire ring and multiple vault toilets scattered around the campground. The camp hosts were also very nice and I chatted with them for a little bit as they passed by on their golf cart. They offer firewood but again spigot access was nonexistent due to the dry winter but one can filter water out of the Provo if they have a large volume filtration system. Nearby are the numerous trails and roads of Spring Canyon, that given the right mode of transportation can take you to Alexander Lake and Hourglass Lake. As with other developed campgrounds in the area, you need to pay both a $23 a night campground fee and the Mirror Lake Hwy Rec. Pass which is $6 for 3 days and $12 for the week. There are also double sites available for $46 and triple sites available for $70 if you anticipate a large group camping trip
