Big Hank Meadow

I was visiting on a busy summer weekend where almost every campsite and pullout in the forest between the highway and campground was full, with the exception of Big Hank Meadow. The meadow is across the street from the actual campground and is entirely free. In order to make it to the meadow you must drive through 8ish inches of water for about 25 feet. Once across the water there is a dirt parking area next to about a 5 acre field. The field has a nice path along the river with tall grass all around. I was able to set my tent down about 30 feet from the river and had complete solitude for my night out there. If you need a restroom then the actual campground is right across the street. Overall, it was a wonderful place to get away from the sound of cars driving into the forest on a busy summer weekend.
