What's not to love

If you have never stayed at a Corp of Engineers Park, you will quickly wonder why not. The price for a site is very reasonable, especially with services. As others have mentioned there is a lot to do. There is 2 boat launch, fishing, walking trails shaded sites....gravel and level. tenting would be a little rough with the gravel. Bring a pad. We had good AT&T service. Bathrooms were clean, clean, clean but in need of a little uodating. updating. well maintained park. The hosts were great. There were a lot of locals, but that's because they know a great place when they see it. It is one of our favorites. We parked at the town of Dover and rode the bike trail into Sandpoint and then picked up the trail at the entrance to Sandpoint City Beach and road the Riverfront trail. Lots and lots to see and do in Sandpoint.
