Beautiful camping

Beautiful, large campsites. First come, first serve. Friendly campground hosts. Costs have gone up to $25 a night. The Vault toilets and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. We stayed in site number 5 and we had friends/family staying in campsites 4 & 6 and it was perfect and large area for us to hang out and relax. We have a 32ft trailer and fit in the spot perfectly. We were close to the water spigots and bathroom. The creek nearby was nice. Generator hours are 6am-10pm which is really early and too late in my opinion. Overall, it was a great week of camping and I would visit again. There is so much to do and see. We hiked to Devils Postpile and Rainbow Falls, went to the Earthquake Fault line, and visited the INYO Craters.

  • creek that runs behind Pumice Flats Campground
  • campsite 5 has a long area to park and lots of shade
  • Earthquake Fault Line we stopped at on the way to the campsite
  • large area between campsite 5 (to the left) & 6 (to the right) Fire pits and picnic tables. Bathrooms in the background
  • INYO Craters not too far away (a short drive)
  • Rainbow Falls - a longer easy hike (about 2.75 miles to the falls)
  • Hot Springs - we drove a little ways to go see this
