Beautiful National Forest - But Bring Everything You Need

We stayed here for 3 nights because that was all the water we could carry. There is no dump station there and only hand pumped water.  They do provide a list of dump stations and water when you arrive, but all are at least 1/2 hour away.  Come with water.

We were in site 3 that was a ten foot trail to the lake.  At the lakeside sites, there is space to sit on the narrow beach and there are anchors provided for boats.  Many people had kayaks pull up on the shore.

You are right in the forest and there is no cell or internet service.   It is very quiet and mainly uncrowded.   We spoke with the camp host and  if you want a lakeside site, reserve them on recreation.gov

There are several vault toilets through out the park and one hiking trail.  There is a fishing pier,  but this park is really good for boaters.  The sunset over the lake is beautiful and if you don't have a lake side campsite, walk over to the fishing pier.
