Short walk to the beach, clean and serene campground.

My family visited for our first time over a long weekend in early July. We didn’t really know what to expect, it was honestly just the very last unreserved  site with hook ups that we were able to find that wasn’t a +3hr drive from home and our spot was right next to the bathrooms. Well, let me just say that we seriously enjoyed this campground. I actually loved be right next to the bathroom, it made it so easy with our 5 year old. And the bathrooms and showers were kept so clean, they didn’t smell so that wasn’t a problem at camp. The whole campground was extremely neat and well kept. It was also very quite and really just very peaceful. There is a 1/2mi trail to the beach. It is a nice trail, older kids were able to ride their bikes with their parents to the beach. I will say that at least each time we visited that particular beach, it was VERY windy and there is a lot of dry sand that hits your skin. I got a bit of sand burn. This campground is also very close to the hobbit trail and so it would be a very smart idea to take advantage of that and get there early in the morning to get good parking. That beach is a little less windy in my recollection. Overall, this is one of my new favorite campgrounds.
