The views were amazing. With Mt Quandery to the north, the two lakes (the lower is where you can camp) below and the waterfall connecting the two lakes... just amazing. Be advised though... According to the dispersed camping rules (per USFS)you're not supposed to camp within 100 ft of the water... but that's literally the only place to camp unless you wanna pack it up and walk further into the woods vs right off the road. There are plenty of old mines to explore if you're feeling adventurous but even just hanging by the lake is great too. Because of the water so close be prepared for the mosquitoes!
