What a gem

We saw a YouTube RVer briefly talk about Poole Knobs in a recent video and the comments were very favorable so we thought we’d give it a try. We have stayed on the other side of Percy Priest lake and loved it so thought we’d try an Army Corps campground this time in Nashville. What a gem! All of the sites are positioned so you have a view of the lake - and in many areas the sites further from the lake but higher up give the best views. A lot of the sites are pull-thrus so your rig is parallel to the lakeshore - doesn’t mean the sites are large enough for big rigs but it does make it easier to set up. Sites have water and electric; a dump station is near the entrance. A boat ramp for campers is in the campground. You must drive through a neighborhood to get to the campground but once you’re there it’s like you’re in a different world. Very quiet, heavily treed, and very peaceful. We had truck trouble while we were there and the camp hosts allowed us to move to what they called an “emergency site” set aside for issues like ours. We got the truck repaired and on our way very late on our checkout day - we SO APPRECIATE the support and assistance of the hosts! Loved Poole Knobs!
