Stopped here on our way from Nashville to Hot Springs and loved the setting! Thankfully we were able to avoid the horrible traffic backups through Memphis due to the I40 bridge closure over the Mississippi - but only because of truck troubles. We were delayed leaving Nashville so we got to Memphis at 1:30am so minimal traffic. We couldn’t see much when we arrived at 2am but woke up to a beautiful sunrise and tugs moving barges up and down The Bug Muddy. Our interactions with the staff were great, the fishing ponds kept me busy for a few hours to go along with the relaxing time on the riverbank watching the barge traffic. Our only disappointment? That we only reserved one night - But we’ll be back! Sites are level, all are FHU and most are right on the river. Highly recommended!
