Great Private Campsite in the ADKS

I rarely stay at private campsites but decided to splurge and book this one for a last-minute Memorial Day Weekend adventure.

This campsite was so nice and clean complete with a picnic table, fire ring, solar lights, and a composting toilet. Unlike most private campsites that I've stayed at before, this one allowed for a truly secluded experience. We couldn't see any of the neighboring campsites, making it feel fully secluded.

This camp was on a small farm so you passed a couple of cows and horses on the way in. The sites themselves were off a dirt road looking over sprawling green fields. This area was about 15 minutes' driving from Keene Valley making it the perfect basecamp for all of my ADK hiking and climbing needs.

My only complaint is that they didn't have running water so we needed to keep going out and buying more, prepare ahead by bringing a few gallons if you stay here.

  • Making a hammock setup with our single tree.
  • The composting toilet.
