This place was a true hidden gem. I didn't understand why there were cabins available when usually everything in California is booked up months in advance!
This park I think only has rustic cabins, no tent/RV sites. We booked through hipcamp. They are all spaced out very nicely, with some elevation change and trees between each cabin. Ours overlooked a meadow, where we also had a parking spot and picnic table.
The cabins are pretty bare bones, with 4 cots (with mattresses), a fireplace, and a balcony. No electricity, lights, and the only heat comes from the fire in the fireplace. They do give you a bundle of firewood included in the cost of the rental.
One thing to mention is our picnic table was next to our car in the meadow, not next to the cabin. All cooking is supposed to happen at the picnic table and not in the cabin, which wasn't the most convenient considering the table was down a somewhat steep hill. Not sure all the cabins are like this, but I think worth mentioning.
The woman checking us in was super helpful and very friendly! Can't wait to go back again some day!
