Amazing Area

Hartman’s is MASSIVE and has tons of sites! It’s all dispersed camping. There are smaller more remote sites, big sites, as well as areas where there are a few sites in clusters. There are shady areas, non-shady areas, spots with views, and more hidden spots. There really is something for everyone. I live here in Gunnison, and it’s a great last minute spot if you want to get out for the night. There are no water sources, as the area is just rocks and dirt. There are many different ways to explore the array of trails, so you can bike, take a four-wheeler, horse-back ride, hike, or just drive your car. There are about 3 toilets (nothing fancy). It’s an overall great area if you don’t want to get too far out of town!

A good little spot

My partner and I were able to get one of “beach front” spots. It’s your normal concrete campground for the most part, but our actual tent and fire ring were both in the sand. (Since we were beachfront, I can’t attest to what the other sites on the lot were like). There’s a small path that’s only a few meters long that puts you directly on the beach. The campground iself is nothing extraordinary, but we enjoyed it!! We met some great people, the views were nice, and HOLY SAND DOLLARS!! The amount of whole sand dollars on that section of the beach was incredible. I’d stay there again just for that, honestly.

Very unique and beautiful!

This place has quite a few campsites to choose from. Where I stayed we had our own picnic table and steel awning with a concrete patio. The main recreation area is soo pretty. The beach is nice and there are plenty of picnic tables and awnings. The orange rock is just beautiful.

Very cool area

Bluewater Lake SP is a unique campground in regards to the layout. You can pull up to all of the sites, and you can overlook the lake, be on the lake, be a little further away, private, have neighbors, really what ever you want. Checking in was very easy and the folks were quite nice. Also there were random horses and donkey’s walking around??? So that was a fun surprise.

This place is a Must-Do!!

Adventures Unlimited is certainly one of a kind! Plenty of campsite to choose from, some more private than others. You can raft, SUP board, or just hang out at the BUS bar and listen to live music. Whatever you do here, it will be a good time.

A nice place

This is a very good family campsite, as you can pull tight up to your spot, and there is a fire ring with a grill attachment, running water, and restrooms. It is very easy to find, as it is between Gunni and Crested Butte just a few miles off the Almont turn. It is a true campground, so no dispersed camping but overall a very nice and well maintained spot.
