Great campground! Drove out far for Labor Day weekend hoping we could find a last minute campground. Luckily a few people cancelled their reservations so we found one out here. Had awesome sites, ATV/UTV trails, a bar, a playground, and rentable cabins. Sites are secluded and pretty private. Campground also has clean bathrooms. Toilets are by the sites but are vaults but then by the bar there are two bathrooms with showers and flushing toilets that are open 24/7. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Felt very welcome here even tho I’m from Green Bay haha
Great campsite, river bear by us gorgeous. I love the smaller campgrounds, sort of open but some spots are pretty secluded.
Went here for a family vacation! Had an amazing time, close to mount horeb so was able to drive in for a day to look around. Site were spacious and most were pretty concealed.
Most of the spots are set up for RVS with little privacy. Right on the river with access to the water for kayaking and stuff.
Very open campground, we camped in a tent but probably better for an rv
We had an amazing spot with a trail right to the water in our camp spot. Wood was available for sale as well, only $10 a night!
Spots are very close to each other and not secluded. Trails from the campground to the beach and fishing are were nice. Unfortunately when we went a group of drunk kids came and picked the spot next to us and were very loud and wandered through our spot looking for wood and the trail.
All around good campground. Sites weren’t too close to each other and were at a normal level of seclusion. Beach and fishing area
Very friendly staff. Super open spots but not bad if you’re traveling through. Fort Hays just next door for a super awesome breakfast and tourist location
Lots of different campgrounds, clean and spacious sites with some cool areas to look at
No true “sites”. Good spot to spend the night if you’re traveling through. Good views and lots of hiking spots.
Great hike in campground. It was our first hike in and we loved it! Spots aren’t too close to each other and there’s great views!
Very children and family oriented, some shorter trails, fishing area, playground, beach (always full of weeds). Spots were pretty open
Great campground and when we went pretty empty. Amazing trails and great beach. Weather wasnt too good when we went but there was still so much we could do!
Awesome trails! Could walk to the trails from your sites. Sites were relatively private and very spacious (we fit two tents and two cars in one space along with a canopy). Great beach as well!
Good sized sites, pretty secluded. Convenient location with trails around the campground.
Loved the hike in, decided to walk the whole loop and unfortunately the bridge at the end was under water and we had to turn around and walk back instead. Lake was gorgeous and the hike in wasn’t too bad.
Very hospitable. Sites were large and well cared for. Trails, parks, and a beach. Very affordable kayak and canoe rentals. Friendly staff. Wood for sale on site, fishing pole rentals, tennis courts. Will definitely come back!
Most of the sites looked like they had been deserted for years. A few good sites for campers though. The primitive camp sites couldn’t fit a tent if you tried. Bathroom was clean but no one at front desk or to answer my calls.
