This campground is located 7 miles from Crater Lake, a beautiful smaller lake north of Upper Klamath Lake. The location is ideal, with many hiking trails and fantastic views.

The Mazama Village Campground area is primarily forested, and all sites have a picnic table, a fire pit, and bear-proof storage. All campsites are close to the restrooms, and there are fresh springwater taps at the village to refill water jugs. Overall, it’s a beautiful and spacious campground where people respect the grounds and noise requirements.

This is a small and peaceful campground located at the headwaters of Wood River. A pine forest surrounds the site, and there’s a beautiful view of the Southern Cascade Mountains. Wood River offers excellent fishing, and there’s a hiking trail to the river’s water source on a rocky hillside. Overall, the Jackson F. Kimball State Recreation site is a secluded campground where you can relax and enjoy some quiet moments in nature.

Jackson Wellsprings is a campground and 30+ acre natural hot springs spa. It’s a great area to relax for a couple of days, bathing in the hot springs or swimming in the Olympic-sized pool. There are beautiful gardens, and the center offers classes and workshops on health and nature. You can participate in all the activities the center puts on or simply relax alone in nature.

4. Williamson River Campground

The Williamson River Campground is conveniently located close to highway 97 and 5 minutes north of Chiloquin, Oregon. It’s an area surrounded by forest and right by the Williamson River. From the Williamson River campground, it’s possible to mountain bike on Forest Service roads, hike nearby trails, or fish. Overall, this is a quiet campground, with spread apart sites and clean toilets.

5. Waterwheel RV Park and Campground

This is an excellent RV park and campground located 22 miles from Klamath Falls and close to highway 97. The Waterwheel RV park is a complete campground with everything you need. They have newly remodeled restrooms and showers, a laundry room, grills, and a playground for kids. There is also a store, a dump station, and available propane for tank refills.

6. Annie Creek Sno-Park

This campground is located about 43 miles from Klamath Falls, near the Crater Lake National Park. Annie Creek is an official stop on the Oregon Volcanic Scenic Byway, and you’ll find more amenities than the usual sno-park. There’s a log-style warming shelter with a wood stove and benches for picnics and relaxation.

Snowmobilers and sledding enthusiasts go to Annie Creek to enjoy the snow and outdoor winter activities. There’s a huge hill close to the campground perfect for sledding in winter. There’s no potable water so you will have to bring your own. The snow shelter does have electricity.

The resort features excellent opportunities for fishing, boating, and bird watching. At the Rocky Point Resort, it’s also possible to rent canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, and small motorboats.
