What are some camping terms that you always hear, but you're not sure what they really mean?

for example, for years I didn’t know what guy line meant:

FYI, it’s basically its an extra rope you tie off to keep your tent stable when its windy

There are to many to list. And some are regional. Camper, topper, shell for trucks. Boondocking, overlanding… Fun subject!

I’ve been at this a very long time. while I doubt I know every term out there, it’s likely I know what all of the terms I have heard are.

There are likely newer slang, and tech terms I just haven’t been exposed to.
