I live in MN…and it’s definitely one of the best! Anything on the North Shore is gorgeous, though. Split Rock is amazing too! The Superior Hiking Trail goes through all those parks along the North Shore, so you can hit a lot of them if you have a multi-day hiking trip planned!
I can’t vouch for whether it’s the BEST but we recently used Baptism River site 2E as our base for a 3 night trip. Some of the sites are multi-level and a couple back up to huge rock outcrops, so there are some unique choices. Really enjoyed it!
