This was at Big Meadows Reservoir. Great spot!! Part of the San Juan Mountains I believe. About 30min from South Fork, CO.
This is my vintage 1975 Apache Royal. We just got it in October 2019 and have been doing some work to it, mostly cosmetic. This summer, I have to repair some minor ABS cracks and replace the brakes and then I’ll finally be able to get it on the road. Interior photos are from when I bought it (original fabric) to the current remodel state
Meet Hamlet, our solar powered 1957 “canned ham” travel trailer. We’ve been full-time camping and exploring for 7.5 years now – been all over the US and Canada and work/volunteer from the road. We also carry our bikes, backpacks, and sea kayaks with us to get into the backcountry as much as possible!
This is awesome! I’m looking into kitting out the Apache with solar. You’ve given me inspiration!
Thanks, it’s a ton of fun! Great to be self-sufficient during this crisis, but also anytime. We call it pandemic proof living, well mostly. Ha! Happy to help you figure out what you need. We write educational blogs, help people put together systems, and produce videos about solar powered living, if you need assistance. We can also get you a discount with Renogy solar.
