whose been there? from pictures it seems like the prettiest part of Illinois!
I’ve gone there by bicycle touring and pulling my teardrop. It’s a nice place with lots of trees. It certainly has some charm. The town of Savanna is popular with motorcycles and is a nice small town. There is a bike route that follows the Mississippi River. We had an around Illinois bike tour (GITAP) stop there and it was good for our large group. I enjoyed following the bike route along the river for a few days. I didn’t get to explore the hiking trails but that is on my agenda for another visit.
