This 2020 camping season has me looking to stay in Massachusetts because of restrictions at my favorite New England haunts. I haven’t camped in Mass since I was a teen, so I’m looking for suggestions. I enjoy hiking, photography, biking (rail trail or road over mountain bike), kayaking (flatwater), geocaching, and history. Not a fan of campgrounds that have a majority seasonal campers or stacks of RVs, but need a place that will accommodate my small teardrop camper (esp. since the backcountry spots are largely closed this year), but don’t need hookups. I’ve booked 4 weekends, but there are months of camping ahead! What are some of your favorite spaces and why?
