Extremely large State Park

I think I gave this park four stars out of low expectations. Middle of nowhere Guernsey Wyoming the state park wraps around a reservoir with beautiful rock formations. There are campgrounds scattered all over and around the campground. If you were in a big rig this is not the easiest place to camp……

Awesome place to visit

A wonderful place to tent camp. Very quiet area, and sites are usually secluded. Gorgeous views. The reservoir is not good for fishing, so we went to the nearby grayrocks reservoir and had luck there. Also, the water is freezing! We tried swimming. There was also a small wildfire while we were…

Showerhouse Closed!

Its a beautiful state park and I’m glad to have camped here during my travels around Wyoming. I stayed at Newell Bay as its first come first serve. The price for the park is $30 for 1 day and 1 night which is a bit expensive. My only complaint is that the showerhouse is closed! I wish it had stated…

Terrible terrible customer service

Very small dirty park located 15 ft away from rail road . Commercial Trains goes all night and day with loud horn. High voltage tower is right next to park .Dog poops are everywhere . Site 11&12 are between 2 residential ( broken fence, very threshed scene). $35 per night but for Passport…

Clean with a great view

We stopped for a night.  It is a standard RV type park operated by the city.  It was very clean and well maintained.  The price was reasonable and we had a nice view of Scotts

Bluff.  With full hookups which we needed as it was warm and we wanted to run the AC.  The park staff was friendly at…

Could be a whole lot better

From the grumpy lady at the gate to the trashed campsite this could have been a bad experience but I didn’t let that get to me. Cleaned it all up and set my sites on a great weekend. Then the train came... and another one... all night long. At least there was water this time. All of the camper…

Lake very low and train at night

We stayed at the Sandy Cove loop, site 142. The non-electric site was fine, a picnic table and fire circle. There’s a train that comes by and kept us up at night. Also the lake was super low, so not able to be enjoyed.

Well maintained & Gorgeous Views

We enjoyed a quick weekend trip to the Scotts Bluff National Monument and Wildcat Hills this weekend. We stayed at The Robidoux RV Park in Gering, NE. The RV Park is owned and maintained by the city of Gering. It was located next to the Five Rocks Amphitheater and had a shared green space with a…

  • Cute RV Park sign - could use a little TLC, but my girls thought it was magnificent, all the same
  • You can see the Scotts Bluff National Monument from the RV Park.
  • Office/Laundry/Shelter/Restrooms (Restrooms currently closed due to COVID-19)
You need a code to access these amenities. We were only given a code to access the Shelter in case of a storm. (COVID probably had something to do with limited access.)

Great donation-only town park

We stopped for the night at Lewis Park en route from Utah to Nebraska, and we're very happy that we did. It's barely a mile off I-25 in Wheatland.

This town park campground includes six gravel pad 20/30/50A electric sites for RVs and numerous sites for tents only. Potable water is available at…

Overnight Stop

This campground was a sight for sore eyes on a long haul from Washington to Texas. We pulled in at dark and left early in the morning. The spots were very easy to get into. There is a train nearby that was loud but we were so tired it didn’t bother us. We had been driving in fog for hours. The…

Rustic Camping

Some of us still prefer to rustic camp in a tent with no amenities; listen to the sound of birds, wind, silence, to feel the night wrap around you when you sleep. Your mobile homes are too big for the rustic lake sites! You’re generators are ridiculous and loud. Take that to the RV site. This one…

Not a lot of privacy, but lake was beautiful

The sites are close together but many had a fair amount of shade. The park is quite large, with opportunities for hiking and getting out on the water.
