GuidePeaceful but beware of mosquitoes
Loved how peaceful this park was. I stayed at site 40, which backs up to the woods. Site 41 is a little close, but I would still pick this same spot when returning. Bathrooms were clean. HOWEVER, beware of the mosquitoes! They were everywhere in the bathroom making showering intense to be quick. They were so bad that I eventually cut my trip short. Would go back, but later in the year.

ScoutCopper Falls has always been a hometown place of adventure and respite
The greenhorn Campsite Inspector get a thumbs down for personality. We cut our weekend short after only one night. We could not take the park admin who was checking campsites. After 3 visits tipped over into what felt like harassment...the rain would have been nicer to deal with. We just packed it up and went home...which is right around the corner. We're local and it's the first time we decided to camp in over 30years. It was a bummer to feel so unwelcomed there. We will continue to enjoy the beautiful surrounding and hope that maybe the staff there learns a few valuable lessons on beside manners.

Directions
Copper Falls is about two miles northeast of Mellen in Ashland County. Take State Highway 13 to the north side of Mellen and turn (northeast) on State Highway 169. Go about 1.8 miles. The park entrance will be on your left.
