No longer a nice campground

Been coming here for years. But the rangers and camp hosts will give you tickets for EVERYTHING. I was profiled for fitting the description of a vehicle they had an issue with the week prior and I got a $50 ticket! My campsite was filled with nails and wood staples and the coals in the fire pit…

Great county park.

Really liked our site. Didn't feel crowded. Nice beach and trails. Pit toilets were fine as expected.

Great rustic camping!

This campground is further from civilization but is still paved. The road was a bit rough but easily manageable. We went online to find a weekend campground and this was o e with 3 sites left. Even if you show up without a reservation, the sign said to go online or call to claim the spot(Verizon…

This park offers 12 miles of trails, scenic beauty, wooded sites and more!

This gorgeous county park in Marathon County, Wisconsin is 1,450 acres of mixed hardwoods forming a two-mile peninsula jutting out deep into the waters of the Big Eau Pleine Flowage.

Eau Pleine is from the French phrase meaning full water or stock river. There are two separate campgrounds–(…

Nice campground

Campground has 10 sites for $30 a day, all with electricity and water. There is a dump station nearby behind the city garage for $10. There are vault toilets with free showers. The sites have immediate access to the river for fishing. There is a beach, two sand volleyball courts, boat launch, and…

Excellent Spring Camping

Beautiful campground. Early season camping, only a few other sites reserved. First time here, would definitely go back, and bring a canoe. I imagine the sites would be fairly private once the leaves fill in for the season. Great nature trail, saw a porcupine, heard loons and an owl. Amazing stars…

Quiet. Well maintained.

Friendly owners. Well maintained grounds. Mostly seasonal sites. Nice beach across the road. Would stay here again! Hit Chippewa Valley Growers greenhouse in Altoona. Amazing if your into plants!

Nice campground

We’ve been going here for years. The nice part for us is it’s located on the ATV trails so we just drive in and out of campground. There are a couple supper clubs within a short drive that are pretty good. There is a small lake with beach that is very nice for a quick swim as well. You can buy…

Small but nice

This is more of a township style park, with baseball field and such. There’s a beautiful pavilion as well. It was kinda hard to determine if and where the site were. They do have a handful of site but you have to real definitive site markers other than a number.

Great camping!!

This is a great place to camp. We have been back a few times. They have sites on the lake and off. If you can get a site on the water I highly recommend. There is a trail between the site and the water but still is great. The bathrooms were always nice and clean with hot showers. Not much for…

Site 44

September/2020 Site was nice. We didn't have anyone next to us (site 46), if we had, it would have felt less private. Not many trees between sites 44-48. Site is set back and right on the waterfront, could launch a canoe/kayak. Definitely one of the better views and water was clear. On the other…

A little rustic, some like it that way.

If you prefer a little rustic and secluded and don’t mind vault toilets if you don’t have your own, this is a perfect place. It’s very wooded and the sites are private. It offers something for ATVers, horseback riders, anglers and hikers.

Overall great with all amenties.

We love this as a “go to” place for family. The lake location is perfect with both sunsets and coves. There are cabins as well as a few tent/rv campsites and a wonderful bar/restaurant on site. You can boat to a number of other bars and restaurants as well. The only negatives are that it is a bit…
