There was a really nice view of the lake, and a nice clearing up towards the skies, but still adequate trees. Some mosquitos / flies. Overall very nice campsite. One downside was neighbor chopping wood at 6 am Sunday.
We visited the resort over a long weekend and had an absolute blast. It really is a treat that the Root River Bike Trail System runs right along the campground. We spent most of our time exploring the trail, visiting Lanesboro and Whalen.
For a campground that’s not too far out of the way, you feel so secluded and hidden away in the woods. Its quiet and really easy to get some solitude.

What a wonderful campground! Bathrooms and showers are very clean!! We set up our tent right by a beautiful river. Paid around $23
This county run location is a nice place to stop. Good amenities. They do pack you in but I’ve been in tighter spots where I had to pay more , so we didn’t mind. The most expensive spot was about $30 a night. I think this is a party spot as a few people could be heard until 1 am, but overall it…
Our spot was right on a corner and made for difficult parking and lots of traffic. But the campground was large with available space last minute and the view was great.
This is our first Wisconsin state park camping experience. This place is lovely! Nice and secluded. Our site is spacious. Nice deep fire ring with a grill grate. Really close to the river, as well. Yes… the trains do go by quite a bit, but it really hasn’t bothered us. Beautiful tall trees, clean…

Hiking trails were difficult but offered amazing views. Sites were spacious and spaced out.
Enjoyed a difficult but fun hike, went fishing, and camped out in group site 3 which is the one with the most shade. Keep watch on the ground to not accidentally step on a snake. They do have Timber Rattlesnake but they are so rare I didn't see one. Mostly water snakes, one was sleeping in the…

Last minute call and they had opening for us. Great camp site, wonderful bar and food. There is also an outdoor bar area w yummy slushy drinks and games. The pool was fun. We will be back.
Small campground But nicely maintained. The sides are a little close to together and our gravel. We had to use boards to level our rig. There’s a swimming pool and a store and two bath houses. The lawn is cared for and there are flowers everywhere. Trash receptacles are close to the campsites and…
This campground came to us through Thousand Trails Collection. At first we only had a W/E site and later was able to move to a full hook up site. All sites has a gravel pad with a grass yard, fire ring, and picnic table. The fire rings are sunk completely into the ground for some reason. The…
This is a pretty great campground with mostly large, private sites. Not all sites are level and there’s little to no cell coverage. The tours of the cave and historic Forestville are extra costs and are only available Thursday - Saturday
This park is about half full and so beautiful. The bath house and toilets are a bit old but in good condition. It is right on the Trempealeau Bay and Mississippi River. There are trails for every level and biking all around. There is a boat dock, and you can rent canoe or kayak. There are…

This is our 2nd visit to Perrot SP. both visits have been for just short of a week.
Campground is spacious and nice vegetation between sites. Sites range from mostly sunny to almost cave like when leaves are on the trees.
There is a rail line that runs along between the Mississippi and the park…
