Large sites, family run and family oriented

First time being at this campground and I absolutely fell in love with it. Family-owners take pride in owning a quiet campground and doesn't allow outsiders. The have clear rules, and as long as they are followed, you're solid. However, if you break the rules, they are on it and have no problem…

Great place to stay in Door County

Extremely friendly staff. We had full hookups and a large wooded site. Staff delivered firewood directly to you as well. Everyone was very helpful and extremely friendly

Waterfront on a Great Lake!

Waterfront sites here are hard to get but reserving early is totally worth it. Beautiful state park with great hiking and biking trails. Right on Lake Michigan with nice sized sites and a beach, concession stand, kayak and paddle board rentals, tennis courts, nature center and so much more!

Clean & Friendly

Took our new camper out for the first time to this little campground 40 minutes away from home.  Super friendly owners, super clean campground and it's along part of the Ice Age Trail that leads to the Lake Michigan Beach.  Point Beach State park is also a great place to visit and is only a few…

We are Repeat Campers!

We have stayed here twice and plan to return again this year. Owners are amazing and accommodating. The park has open areas and more secluded areas as well. We visited during Covid and everything was handled wonderfully. It’s a great spot to park and easily explore all of Door County.

Large, but Nice

Penninsula State Park is the largest state park in the Wisconsin system, and that’s clear when visiting in the summer. I stayed at The South Nicolet Bay campgrounds at one of the sites closest to the water. The site was nice, with a reasonable amount of wooded space between neighbors. The real…

Top Notch Remote Sites

I’ve hiked into the Ice Age Trail/Kayak sites for three summers in a row now, and I’ve been pleased each time. The hike is roughly 1 mile from the lots, and the sites are beautifully placed in dunes right on Lake Michigan. There are pit toilets near the sites. These sites offer some of the best…

Small quiet

Ankther of my favorite campgrounds. Smaller not as busy but it can be if that makes sense. It's close enough to the city but away to not hear it. Nice hiking trails and geocaching available. Canoe and boat rentals also.

One of our favorites!

Despite this park being super popular in the summer, this campground seems to stay quiet. The campsites are clean and shaded. Toilets and showers were pretty clean and centrally located. The beach was packed with families but they seemed to be having a great time. My husband and I rented kayaks—the…

Heavily wooded and quiet campground with a variety of sites.

We stayed in a pull through full hookup 30amp site with our Class C in the fall, and the leaves were beautiful. This campground is very convenient to many of the places in Door County for visitors so we loved the convenience. It is not close to a lake but is near to Green Bay. The campground backs…

Beautiful camping on the lake

This is a great state camp ground right on the lake. We stayed in site 123 with an RV and you could hear the waves! There was even a private trail leading out to the beach from our site. Highly recommend one of the 3 spots on the water but all the spots seemed nice and decently private. They also…

Don’t plan to return.

Wisconsin campgrounds were crowded on the weekends this summer, and we weren’t able to find a public option so landed here in mid-September. Hosts were brusque, and we started our stay by picking up trash around our campsite, ignoring cans crushed into roadways and general tiredness of the…

Nice place, Nice people

We camped here because it was close to an event we needed to attend.  We enjoyed our stay here and felt very welcome.  What wasn't so great was the proximity to the interstate, unfortunately, there is no changing that.
