Great waterfront site

Site 870 is one of the waterfront campsites. There is a clearing for a great view of the bay. This does come with some caveats, as this site is the closest to the public beach. All of the beach chatter echoes through the site, and once in a while people wandering from the beach would walk…

Great Family Place

Rustic Timbers has a lot going on.   In the campground there is a very nice store with a snack bar, ice cream and adult beverages.  There is a nice pool and playground for children.   While we were there it was Christmas in July and  many campers had decorated.   There were hayrides to view the…

Great place

The kids love this place! With 2 pools, water slide, and splash pad, they are always busy and happy! The bathroom and shower building is wonderful and kept very clean.

Favorite camping spot

I love this campsite. The sites are secluded from one another so you gets lots of privacy. It’s only a short walk to Lake Michigan and 6 miles of beach to wander. There is a designated swimming beach that sells concessions and rents bicycles but you can swim anywhere. Has a dog beach. Bathrooms are…

Everyone was so kind. The site were beautiful. Quietest campground I’ve ever been to. Bathrooms were nicer and cleaner than the ones in my own home.

Good, but needs some work

This is a great campground for families with RVs. We stayed in summer of ‘20 and loved it, came back in ‘21 and enjoyed it. Biggest attraction of 3 pools and a water slide were down to 1 pool and the splash pad, which meant crowded pool. Like many things during COVID, delays or back ordered repair…

We likey!

We like this place. Friendly staff, clean common area, and nice amenities. The space we had is large, it would fit any RV. We will come back.

Great private camp ground

This is our second time here. Staff is really friendly. It has clean showers and restrooms. The camp store is extensive for a camp ground - ha). The sites are fairly flat. They do have some full service sites, but most are electric and water only. The campground is convenient to the cool…

Large sites, family run and family oriented

First time being at this campground and I absolutely fell in love with it. Family-owners take pride in owning a quiet campground and doesn't allow outsiders. The have clear rules, and as long as they are followed, you're solid. However, if you break the rules, they are on it and have no problem…

Very Nice

This was our first time staying here! The family/employees were very friendly and at check-in gave suggestions of things to do! We found everything exceptionally clean including the newly remodeled bathrooms. They had a game room and right Nextdoor an adult only lounge. We were here for Memorial…

Waterfront on a Great Lake!

Waterfront sites here are hard to get but reserving early is totally worth it. Beautiful state park with great hiking and biking trails. Right on Lake Michigan with nice sized sites and a beach, concession stand, kayak and paddle board rentals, tennis courts, nature center and so much more!

We are Repeat Campers!

We have stayed here twice and plan to return again this year. Owners are amazing and accommodating. The park has open areas and more secluded areas as well. We visited during Covid and everything was handled wonderfully. It’s a great spot to park and easily explore all of Door County.

Large, but Nice

Penninsula State Park is the largest state park in the Wisconsin system, and that’s clear when visiting in the summer. I stayed at The South Nicolet Bay campgrounds at one of the sites closest to the water. The site was nice, with a reasonable amount of wooded space between neighbors. The real…
