Campground itself is nice and the bathrooms/showers are good enough. The big issue is the gnats. Was camping there in early July and literally could not be outside the tent at all due to the wicked number of these things. We even had our thermacells out and that did nothing to deter.
W make a point to get to Blackhawk Lake every year. It's close to home, easy to get in and out of all the sites. Many are fairly private. There are trails from near the different camp sites to the lake, some are rather rough. Bathrooms Re nice and not too far from any of the campsites. Not much cell service though.
this camp ground had a night beach area with great sand for the kids. also a small play area right by the beach with volleyball net. trails are decent aswell
It has nice blacktop roads, variable levelness of sites for campers to level on. Good shouwer house and flush toilets. No water hook ups at each site.
The campground isn't bad. Not a lot to do at the campground. Fishing is lame when you fish from shore. The land is over hunted. So chances of getting a deer or turkey are very slim. Boat rentals are bad.
