## Overview

 Willows Campground sits on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains at the southern end of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, offering visitors some of the most stunning scenery in Washington and easy access to an abundance of recreational activities. 
## Recreation

 In addition to being a prime location for hiking fishing, hunting, horseback riding, and mountain biking in summer and early fall, Willows Campground offers excellent skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling in the winter months. Hikers and backpackers are especially fortunate to have access to a variety of spectacular trails near the campground and in the surrounding areas. Designated Wilderness provides thousands of pristine acres of incredible landscapes to enjoy in solitude or with a small group. Whitewater paddling on the Tieton River, adjacent to Willows Campground, is also a popular activity.
## Facilities

 Willows Campground offers sites that accommodate both tent and RV camping. Sites are equipped with tables and campfire rings with grills. Vault toilets and drinking water are also available.
## Natural Features

 Encompassing more than 4 million acres and stretching north to south from the Canadian border to the Goat Rocks Wilderness, the Okanogan-Wenatchee is a stunning and diverse National Forest. High, glaciated alpine peaks tower along the Cascade Crest and lush valleys of old growth forest define its western boundary. At its eastern edge, rugged shrub-steppe country comprises a more arid region. Elevations range from below 1,000 feet to more than 9,000 feet. Visitors to the area can expect many days of clear, sunny weather in the summer, and winters with clear skies and plenty of snow.

## Nearby Attractions

 A historic highlight of the area is the last remaining lookout in the Naches Ranger District, Jumpoff Lookout. Visitors will also enjoy traveling the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway, which climbs into the clouds on a 66-mile drive through the Cascade Mountain range, weaving through snow-capped peaks and alpine lakes. 
## Charges &amp; Cancellations

 Cancellations Individual Campsites: Cancellations up to 2 days before a reservation start date incur a $10.00 cancellation fee.\_\_ A visitor who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night\'s use fee including tax and applicable add-on for a campsite. Cancellations for a one-night reservation will forfeit the entire amount paid and will not be subject to an additional service fee. No-Shows A no-show visitor is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date. Staff will hold a campsite until check-out time on the day following the arrival date. No-shows are assessed $20.00 service fee and forfeit the first night\'s rate, taxes and applicable add-on for a campsite.\_\_\_\_ Refunds Visitors may submit a refund request through their Recreation.gov profile within 7 days of the end date of their reservation. Refunds will not be issued after the 7 days has ended. Refunds for debit or credit card payments will be issued as a credit to the original bank or credit card used to pay. For check or cash purchases, Recreation.gov will mail a Treasury check for refunds of cash, check, or money order payments to the address associated with the reservation. Treasury check refunds may take up to 6-8 weeks to arrive.\_\_ In the event of an emergency closure, the Recreation.gov team or facility manager will refund all fees and will attempt to notify you using the contact information within the Recreation.gov visitor profile.

Willows Campground

It is like you'd expect from a national Forest campground. Has 2 pit toilets. One was closed. The other had plenty of tp and was fairly clean. The handle was broken though so it didn't lock properly. There was a note on the door to knock. It is next to the river and a short drive to Rimrock lake. Great fishing and boating at the lake. The river was muddy when I was there but I heard that is not normal and was caused by flash rains or snow melt (different people had different theories.) There is no running water, but there is a water well pump (manual pump) that gives clean drinking water. You can buy firewood up the road a little ways when there is no fire ban. You aren't allowed to bring your own firewood because they want to prevent the transfer of invasive species. Buy it where you burn it.

Nice, small, quiet

This campground is right on the river.  The sites were level and plenty of room to spread out.  There are pit toilets and a were clean with plenty of tp.  It is recommended to reserve on busy holiday weekends.

Nice forest service camp

2020 prices in the photo. Clean camp with multiple water points. There's 4 or 5 spots large enough for an RV away from the river. Several flat tent camping spots along the river. 

We found the location a little noisy because HWY12 run along the north side of the park. 

Right on the river.

This campground is right next to HWY 12, therefore you hear loud road traffic at all hours of the day.  The spots are pretty open and some are pretty close together so little to no privacy.  I was in site 4 which had a lovely view of one of the pit toilets, but if you put your back to the bathroom it did have a nice view of the trees. Not my favorite camp spot, but in a pinch it worked.

Campground Alongside HWY 12

We got Site 13. HUGE. Big huge site with no direct neighbors that backs up to the Tieton river, which is accessible from the site. Super nice to hear rushing water 24/7 at camp. Sites were clean, vault toilet bathroom was clean as can be. The camp hosts came and said hello, very friendly people. We set up camp around the fire pit but spent most of our time sitting on the riverbanks and watching the clear, cold water rush by. We really liked this site for our low key low stress car camping trip. More serious campers probably won’t be interested in this campsite, but casual camping city slickers like my group had a good time here.
