Lincoln Rock State Park Campground

This is where we head to get some summer heat as soon as school is out. Full hookups, hot sun, lush green, and water to cool off! Those who are critical of this campground are annoyed with the sprinkler schedule which goes off at a certain time in each campsite, Monday-Friday, regardless of tents and things laying around. When we have tenters with us, we slide the tents onto the paved site with our RV, according to watering times, posted on the board near the bathrooms. But how would it stay so nice and green if they didn't water? Swimming area has concessions and camp store. Ball fields, tennis and basketball courts, docks for mooring boats or jet skis are available to campers, boat launch also.

Summer Heat

Nice camp sites that are large and taken care of. Some offer more shade than others. Two loops have hookups, one does not. They water the grass in every site on a regular schedule during the week so you will have to move belongings. Bathrooms are maintained well with 3 minute token operated hot water showers. Fun swimming area.

Great place to camp! 

This is a great state park to set up camp.  It is always very busy.  The sites are relatively spread out.  There are two different sections for camping: an upper and lower.  To me, the lower section doesn’t seem as nice.  It has more trees, but the camp spots seem to be closer together.  Likewise, the lower section just feels a little more rough than the upper section.  The views are spectacular.  There is a boat launch, and a swimming area.  Furthermore, there is also a small store, and a mini-mart across the street.  What makes this place great is the actual camp sites.  They are huge.  What makes it difficult for tent camping is there are a ton of sprinklers that turn on frequently.  It is important to watch where you stake down your tent.  For this trip, we brought our RV and a tent.  During the summer, the temperatures during the daytime are hot!  Luckily each site is equipped with water and electricity. There is no WiFi, but the cell service is outstanding.

Great and Busy

We decided to camp last minute and this was the only spot we could find nearby where we were. The park itself is nice, but the campground was small and provided absolutely no privacy. Basically just an open field where people camp in their spots. Lots of noise and we were close to trash cans which did not smell great. The facilities are nice with flushing toilets and sinks, so I will give it that. There is a swim beach right next to the campground which was nice, but lots of people and very noisy

Last minute camping 

This beautiful campground has everything you want and need: water, trails, scenic views, ample campsites, clean bathrooms and easy access. 

The campground is just outside Wenatchee so you are close to many amenities and only a half hour or so from the lovely Bavarian town of Leavenworth nestled in the Cascade Mountains. 

The Apple capital of Washington, this is the fruit basket of the Pacific Northwest. Go in late summer or early fall to stock up on wonderful fruit or take in a wine tasting. 

At the campground there are boat launches for kayaking or motorboats and jet skis, with miles of water to explore. And fishing galore! 

Search out the park’s namesake Abe Lincoln, found outlined in the craggy mountain rocks. One of the premier campgrounds of Washington.

With early reservations you can get several pull-thru sites overlooking the Lake and river gorge.  35 FHU sites in Upper Loop 2, 35 Partial sites (W/E) in Loop 3 and 27 Standard sites in Loop 1.
Water swim and boat launches with great open area recreation and field area.  Amphitheater.
Good paved bike and jogging/walking trails throughout.

I enjoyed everything about the place. Had showers in the bathrooms. Decks out to the water. Clean and beautiful scenery and atmosphere.

Tent camping

Great park, close to amenities!  Fun kayaking and watersports with plenty of sun.  Its a State park with full hookups and all the opportunities and drawbacks that come with such a place.  It's well cared for though and the park staff doesn't let campers get out of control, so great for young families.

  

If you are tent camping pick a place with plenty of shade and BE AWARE of the grounds keepers watering schedule!!!

Lincoln Rock Rocks !!!

Great little spot to set up for the night. Sites are nice with easy access.Bathrooms are clean and showers are hot. It was packed,but with very nice people.
