Fort Flagler - Fun for everyone

It had been 9 years since the last time we camped at Fort Flager. We stayed in the upper campground, 45. It was on the smaller size but it fit our 21ft Class C just fine. Bathrooms and showers are available. It was all in very good condition. The campground has a lot of volunteers that help keep the place running. The lower campground has hookups but you have no privacy. Lots to do there...beach, crabbing, clamming, playground, sport courts, trails, and the most fun is exploring all the gun batteries. We did the tour and it was very informative. Lots of history and there are even a few geocaches. There is also a museum.

We stayed 2 nights and didn't have to leave because there was so much to do. There is even a store down by the beach if you need anything or just want some ice cream.
