Great views, great group cooking area

Beautiful backcountry campground, complete with composting toilet (with a view!). Water is easy access from the creek, just down the hill. This campground is just about .5 miles downhill from Cascade Pass and a great stop before or after visiting Sahale Glacier. This is the perfect site for a large group, but it also has a few smaller “tucked away” spots for individuals, couples, etc. Group cooking area is well thought out, with bear boxes right next to it. When we visited in August, there were quite a few flies working the day shift, so bring your bug spray. Cost=free! Permit required from NOCA Wilderness Information Center in Marblemount.
