Friendly, quiet, great location

We've now stayed at this campground twice.  It's a bit unique as half the sites are KOA and half are Thousand Trails, but both sections are serene, well maintained, and peaceful.  We use this campground as a jumping off point for kayaking adventures into the North Cascades.

Kayak camping

This is a non-motorized water vehicle campground. You have to paddle in to camp here. There are two sides to the campground, separated by a marshy area. We camped in a couple of sites at Prevost Harbor(we were a large group of 12) after hauling our kayaks up into the grass in expectation of a high…

First Time Solo Camping

I was really nervous about camping in a new place and being alone, but this was the perfect place to do it.

I spent one night at camp 9 and it was perfect. The creek is definitely a little noisy, but the white noise helped me sleep and I didn’t hear really any noise from the road or my campground…

It's all about the lake

The day use area, fishing dock and boating areas are phenomenal! Reserveable day use shelters, lots of picnic tables and BBQs for all. Also lots of open grassy /park areas that are great for games, picnic, etc.

Camp sites are a little close for comfort, but if planning with others and reserve to…

Good for kids

Great site for kids because of amenities. I went once in a tent and one on a cabin. Definitely more worth the cabin. I found the tent sites extremely dusty like more than normal. The cabins were good though. Luxury of having power and a bed. Definitely not a nature getaway. The pool and amenities…

Great for kids

The campsite is great for kids because of the amenities like the pool and other games. Good for people now into glamping. If you're looking for a "nature" experience this isn't it. If you have a trailer or reserve a cabin is great. I wouldn't tent camp here though. Sometimes it's nice to just get…

One of my favs

By far one of my favorite campsites. I go multiple times every year. It's nice to get away from power and the internet and just be in nature

Beautiful and convenient

This is a beautiful campground and served as a great jumping off point to explore Orcas Island over the course of a few days. All of the lakeside sites were taken when I reserved, but I stayed at a site a bit further up and felt like it was both convenient and relatively private! Busy on the…

Perfect get away

Great hidden camping spot, Cliffside has become an amazing spot to vacation with family and friends. With easy access to the beach and less than 30 minutes from all the amazing things whidbey island has to offer it makes Cliffside a unique and safe place to camp.

Fantastic spot on the bluff within Whidbey Island Naval Airforce Base

We stayed here in early April after making a last minute reservation (by phone only). Only a couple of spots were open. You need to be a active or retired military member to enter the base and stay at this campground.

We stayed at one of the RV loops with our van. Most rigs were large RVs, many…

A Quick Escape

This is a great campground, it only has one loop of camping and it's a small county park, but surprisingly the sites are not on top of each other and there is good privacy between sites. It is designated as a 'dry' campground, but I think as long as you're not being obnoxious you are ok. For those…

Perfect family get away

We stayed over the 4th of July weekend 2019 and had an amazing time. We reserved one of the RV spaces for our trailer, which are centrally located in this large resort. Our 4 year old daughter really enjoyed the activities that were offered, we made family matching tie dies, she made bird feeders,…

Gorgeous view - Busy(ish) road

Phenomenal park with lots to do. I was able to snag one of the amazing sites on the lake. It sits down from the road and an embankment so there is a level of privacy from the road, but not your neighboring sites. Nor does it shelter you from the road noise that continues throughout the night. The…
