This park is very nicely laid out and has many amenities to offer.

June 2021 this campground is full of trees that give shade all around most of the campsites. We stayed at site A-13 which is up against highway#84 westbound traffic so there is noise 24hrs a day especially when trucks are using their Jake brakes to slow down with. There are loops A and B. So, B…

Mt. St. Helens camping

Primitive location, nothing there, but maybe a fire ring and a spot to park your vehicle. The road coming in the last 10 miles is rough in many spots. It’s hard to see the bumps and dips in the road in the early evening. There are many spots to choose from for cars, trucks, and vans. It…

Very Beautiful, but avoid Weekends

This place gets CROWDED, and is hard to drive around/walk around due to the amount of day users.  Stayed in a cute yurt which was a bit of walk from the lake (~.25 mi) which is fine but getting my kayak down was a bit of a pain due to the amount of people occupying the road/parking etc.   Stunning…

Site 29

This park can fit all sizes of rig and many sites are full hookup with 30/50a , water & sewer. Shaded trees help keep campers cooler. Winds pop up daily so watch your awnings.

This park us near Biggs Junction with truck stops by T/A and Pilot + several other stations with diesel.

We’ll be back!

The area is great. Being from Northern California, the weather here was amazing. Having bathrooms and showers was a nice feature. Some of the sites are really good and some are a little rough, but overall the campground is a cool place and really relaxing.

Train Horns and Road Noise

I like trains as much as the next person, yet trains run by at night every 20 to 30 minutes and sound their horns.  There is road noise which is easily heard from campsites.

The host during our stay is rather abrupt and not real friendly.

The grounds are well maintained and there was…

Great place for family or couples-quiet and clean

Stayed here a couple weeks before Memorial Day weekend (Thanks, Veterans!). Had the far back area to ourselves. Nearest other campers were four sites away. Lots of places to walk and ride bikes. A bit pricey, but it's up on the mountain so you are within an easy drive of hiking trails and other…

Rest stop

I'm not sure you can spend the night here. It's a rest stop with no overnight signs, idk if they mean for a certain part of the lot though and probably no one would hassle you

It’s closed now

Just a heads up, as of June 3 2021, there are signs everywhere saying there is a camping ban - day use only.

Very small campground

Drove here on our way back from another campground in the area and decided to stop. Not very many campsites, maybe 8 at the most. If you have a trailer there is not much room to turn around. Lots of roads and trails to explore in the area and the river runs right next to the campground.

Very peaceful campground

Camped up here this weekend. It’s not the greatest road getting up there. For the most part the road isn’t bad but I was hauling a camper and a 20’ trailer with dirt bikes and quads so for me wasn’t the greatest. They have toilets here that were pretty clean and fresh water from a well pump. River…

Close to amazing hiking

This is a popular, reservable campground at Mt Rainier. There are 5 loops with A loop and R(Road) loops not reservable. There is a fancy electronic iron ranger at the ranger station(something the rangers want you to use even when they are in their booth and clearly able to handle reservations). I…

This spot has the most delicious water I have ever had.

Creek access.  Usually pretty quiet.  MTB trails right outside camp.  I understand this is a moto camp, but have never been there during the moto season.  One of my favorites,

Beautiful campground along the Deschutes River in the Columbia Gorge

We usually cross the Columbia River into Washington state at Biggs Junction, Oregon. We don’t want to stay at Maryhill State Park in Washington as we had stayed there before. We found this campground on our Benchmark Oregon Atlas.

There are separate areas for RVs who want full hookups and those…
