Big State Park with tons of Amenities

If you can get a site on the beach here it's well worth the alarms you have to set on your phone to get them!  The sites are smallish and a little weird shaped but you get direct access to the water.  There is also a loop at the other end of the park that is more standard drive in sites.  The water sites you park at the top and carry your things down to the site so be prepared for that.

Amazing dock system and access to the lake, great day use area where you can rent kayaks and paddleboards.

A small store with hot food, milkshakes and some floaties comes in really handy and the people running it are very nice.

Overall this is a great campground for families, it is quite large and has all the amenities you need to make great memories!

TIP:  Watch for the critters they are ruthless so cover ALL your dry goods!

Off grid at its finest

Very out of the way in a Beautiful canyon. Stayed here in January so some of the roads to the sites were soft and muddy. The site we stayed at was on the water with a sandy beach. This site would be A-1 for summer fun.

Not taking care of anything. Playing favorite with other guest

I would never recommend them to anyone because they over charge plus that have one spot which is on a ditch that sinks all year round the place isnt maintained like it's supposed to be the docs could use a new docs campsites could use gravel for when you're parking a rig or fifth wheel in better identities better bathroom and shower

Awesome scenery

Steamboat Rock SP, WA

If your using your GPS from Electric City on RT 155 keep going about a half mile after the gps says your there. The entrance will be on the right with a sign.

The whole area was very interesting, orchards, rocks and water. Worth a visit!

We stayed for an overnight. Sage is a nice open campground with some shade. Green grass and a sprinkler schedule to keep it green. Make sure you check your sites time or you may end up with wet stuff.

Direct access to Banks Lake. The water level was low so there was plenty of shore space to sit and walk. Nice scenery, picturesque and unique. There was a hiking path up the rock but we did not try it out…this time.

Amazing lake & Butte View

We have visited here twice, once when it was hot during the summer and once this last spring.  The spring time was amazing! Granted, it was rather chilly and not a whole lot of people there but it was so quiet and the water was still partially frozen over so the view was incredible from the top of the "boat".  The stars were absolutely incredible to see at night when all the lights were out! Not a lot of trees around so you could see the whole ski!

Beautiful but very busy!

We we did enjoy staying here but two big things that were not so wonderful was the lake was very busy with skiers and tubers so anyone enjoying lighter vessels like kayaks had to watch out or go late in the evening when the big boats are off the water. The campsite had nice Landscaping but where stacked pretty closely together at least on the inner campsites. The rather short trail to the bluff behind the campground was rather steep in areas but well worth the trip  when you did get to the top.

This Campground was good for a single visit for us but will likely not return in exchange for a quieter and less visited park.

Favorite camping in the area

This campground is the best! Boat rentals, good fishing and fun things to do. Not super expensive compared to others. It does get windy so make sure you have a good tent in wind

Gone down hill over years

I’ve gone here for all of my childhood and revisited as an adult they changed management and it seems more money hungry now. They are pretty expensive considering they haven’t upgraded anything. The docks are falling a part and the cabins are very dated but work. Good fishing at the lake though

Great campground right on the lake

We came here to enjoy the lake.  The campground was right on the lake shore with a great sand beach!

They sites are pretty close together but were usable.  The site we had was a back-in site, the site is gravel and pretty level.  There are no hookups at this location.  First time boon docking, so we were not sure what to expect. This allowed us to test out our travel trailer and it passed.

We have Verizon and there were no issues with cell service for us.

The campground has a clean restroom, we used our trailer shower.

Pets are allowed and with how the lakeshore was, we were able to walk around a bend and get away from others allowing us to go off-leash so our dog could play in the water freely.

Stehekin is great, paid campsites though?

These were a little far from the lake for my liking. No views. Nice forest on the hill though! Hidden up and behind the ranger station.
