Lots of trails, nature center, pool, and creek for kayaking and fishing. You can also rent water equipment while you’re there. Very good for beginners.
Water/electric sites, dump station, small camp store. Nice size sites, walking trails, pool with water slides & water play ground. Lake with paddle boat & canoe rentals. Very reasonably priced.
Pocahontas state park is great so far. Hike complete! Fire complete and set up done. Time for shower and bed.
Thesites are spacious and shaded. Great pool and canoe trails.
Very crowded and mostly meant for rvs
Great park with lots to do from hiking , biking, running, pool or canoes. everyone will having something to do in this area.
Clean and huge campsites, great pool, great hiking and biking trails
Me and some friends wanted to go to a state park that was within an hour and a half from where we lived. We chose this one and wished we had made a different choice upon arrival. The volunteers were not hospitable like we have experienced at all the other VA State Parks. The grounds were no kept. Fire wood cost a small fortune. Campsites were practically on top of one another. And don't even get me started with the "lake". Grossest state park lake I have ever seen.
Lots of cool places to explore around the campsite
We camp here often - at least 6-8 times a year. Lots of good sites, both pull through and back in, close restrooms and showers, and loads to do. We like to bike the trails - available for all abilities. Walking in the woods is great, too. Big pool (honestly haven't used it) and boat rentals. Pretty much everything I want in a campsite.
