About

Camp in a secluded meadow, , and take a short walk through the woods along a creek bed to your private fishing and picnic spot at Shepherd's Pond. You will get a glimpse of our Shetland sheep as they graze nearby.

Enjoy the stocked camp kitchen (including grill for wood fire pit along with a charcoal tabletop grill, with utensils, iron skillet, nonstick pots and pan, cutting board and knives, batter bowl, with non stick cooking utensils and wood for your fire.) NEW! Wildland Coffee provided! We also provide metal dishes, cup and utensils for 8. Use the camp sinks and provided dish soap and towels to clean up afterwards.

Fishing Boat is an available extra. Life jackets are provided and required to be worn in the boat.

Enjoy watching our sheep, but please do not open gates or go into the fenced pastures. Our sheep are the reason we cannot allow dogs. Even the sweetest dog can run a sheep to death by accident.

The pond Is beautiful, spring fed and has lots of fish. It is also 20 feet deep. So swimming is not recommended. (But swimming in a beautiful natural lake with sand beach and shaded picnic are available 10 minutes away.)

Parking area is marked with a green sign just past our driveway. We provide a large cart for the short walk through the woods to your secluded campsite.

As always while out of doors, be careful. But just in case of tiny mishaps, we have bug repellent and a small first aid kit.

The Space: Spring is here and beautiful Summer is just around the corner! It is a beautiful time of year to experience Virginia! Enjoy our new upgrades like our camp kitchen station, "indoor" seating and camper storage. Our new wild flower garden is in bloom, Enjoy watching bees and butterflies as you relax in our meadow. We have private wooded trails to explore between the campsite and Shepherd's Pond...where there is a picnic table waiting as you eat and enjoy your view. And nearby there is hiking and lake swimming at Bear Creak State Park minutes away. Or bike or hike along the trails at nearby High Bridge State park, (bike rentals available). Or go no where and cuddle by the fire at your site and enjoy a tent with battery operated fans for sleeping or read that book or play board games we provide.

Guest Access: This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation.

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

What you should bring: -S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat -A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling -Bedding and pillows

Interaction with Guests: Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. If you need to cancel or modify your reservation, please reach out to Tentrr Customer Support. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf. Tentrr Customer Support can be reached at (888) 798-9093 or at hello@tentrr.com.

Other Things to Note: Since we are a sheep farm and dogs are potentially harmful to sheep, we cannot allow dogs at our campsite. We are a smoke free camp. Please do not smoke in or near the tent. We do provide candles for the picnic table, but please do not use in the tent as this is a fire hazard. And please keep the fire pit well away from the tent to prevent spark damage. Best not to move it from where we placed it.

We provide a box of old fashioned games for your enjoyment, such as cards, chess, playing cards, puzzles for the kids, and Jenga, etc. But please return all to the box organized just as you found them so the next campers can enjoy them.

Don't cut down or damage trees/timber.

At end of stay, remove ashes from fire pit with shovel provided, place in ashcan and place cover over it to prevent fires. Please pick up all trash and deposit into trash can provided before departing. Make sure all supplies are put back as you found them.
