Even though it was a very crowded weekend, this site felt pretty private since it is set back off the road a bit. It also had a good amount of forest next to it. Lots of room to park and accommodate a large group. Glad we brought canopies for some shade since the entire site isn't shaded.

Camping with our Taxa Cricket; sites are slightly inclined, with some better than others— the tent and small camper sites are deeper in the woods (and flatter!). Very clean and tidy.
Loved this park! Nice, spacious sites. Clean and well maintained bathrooms and showers. Wonderful, well marked hiking trails. And very nice camp hosts. Seriously everything you need!
Spacious, level site spaced well away from next site. Fabulous hiking and the staff are so welcoming!
This was our first time camping in Va in our Popup.
This is a nice spot. Easy access to hiking trails and swimming or fishing in the lake.
The bathrooms are clean and they have a decent dish washing station.
All RV sites have H2O and electric.
A few of the sites did not seem to be very…

I only got to spend one night at this State Park and I'm dying to go back. I was there in the spring but the trees would make this a perfect fall campground!
Site - spacious, private and peaceful. If you need to disconnect and surround yourself in nature this is the spot!
Shower house -…
Heavy rain lately has some of the park pretty muddy. The staff are helpful, the spaces are close together. There's a drag race strip across the lake that's extremely noisy. Outsiders use the pool. The owners are working on expanding the park.
We have stayed here several times. Big beautiful paved sites with furniture to boot. Complete with gas grills and outdoor sinks. Plenty to do at the resort..... Kayak, putt putt, tennis, swim in one of the pools, hot tub, work out in the gym, walk on trails, ride horses, take a carriage ride or eat…

Campground is tucked away but has nice large sites, large lake , pool. Friendly staff
The campground is pretty big and has a wonderful beach with swim access to the lake. Most of the campers are long time seasonal campers, and a lot even live here. The beach is well maintained and campsites are spacious. Pull through options available. The playground is for kids 5+ and there’s not…
Nice sites full hook up. Pool and laundry close to pool. Clean store. Kid friendly
This was the first campground we visited with our large family when we started camping. After camping at several other campgrounds in the area, this still remains our favorite. The campground was clean and the spaces were large. The staff was very friendly and did a great job maintaining the…

Campground was fair, nice flat sites, semi wooded. Grass wasnt cut anywhere around our site and camp hosts were not our favorite. Beach was absurdly busy.
Absolutely enjoy going to Pocahontas! Great campsites. Pretty separated from each other. Very clean. Good bathrooms. Pool and fishing in the park. Good hiking.
Last minute scheduled… they were very friendly. We had never been in the area so didn’t know what to expect.
They were super friendly and showed us to our campsite. They have a store onsite with food, drink and fishing tackle. This campground is about 3/4 year rounders. People who rent a…
