This popular state park, located in Vermont, is a narrow passage that leads through the Green Mountains. In 2003, the park was relocated to allow room for expansions, including an updated campground and sites featuring alternative energy. Despite this, great care was taken to relocate and restore the original structures that were built there by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The site originally housed the many young men looking for work during the Depression era, so it was important for their work to be preserved as much as possible. 

Visitors report satisfaction with the new renovations, as the new campground has sites that allow for much more room than before, and ample thought was given to the facilities operating on alternative energy. Campers can now enjoy hot showers, firewood and ice for sale, as well as a new location that provides easy access to Bingham Falls. 

Before planning a stay at the park, travelers should be aware that most sites in the park are first come first serve, and not easily accessible by vehicle. Because of the limited space and narrow geography, there are only a small number of sites that can accommodate a trailer or RV. Animal lovers are welcome to bring their furry pals for a visit to the park as well. 

Day use of the park consists of a variety of recreation and fun. There's a wetlands boardwalk near what's called the Barnes Camp Visitor Center. Bouldering and cave exploring commonly take place here as well, and when the weather allows it, some try their hand at ice climbing. Day use of the park comes with an entrance fee of $4 for adults, $2 for kids 12 and younger, and children ages 0-3 enter the park free of charge.

Thanks!  **We have the best access to the Kingdom Trails!!   Just jump on your bike from your campsite!**  

​ Check in/Check Out We have a two-night reservation minimum if you are checking in on a Friday Check-in is allowed at 3:00pm or later on the first date of your reservation. If you want an earlier check-in, please contact us on your day of arrival (802-227-2578) and we will accommodate you when feasible. Check-out is required no later than 1:00pm on the last date of your reservation. Though not required, we will appreciate a text message letting us know that you've departed (802-227-2578).

Capacity There is a maximum of 6 campers allowed per site (this number includes children). There is a maximum of 2 vehicles allowed per site. Please let us know if you need parking for more than 2 vehicles, we will accommodate you when feasible. ​ Cancellation Policy Please let us know if you want to cancel your reservation. Your deposit is refundable if you cancel 15 days in advance. Please let us know if you will be arriving late, e.g. next day. If you are a "no show" who does not let us know you are arriving late, we may cancel your reservation and rent the site to a different camper. ​ Pet-Friendly Dogs are allowed, however they must remain under your control (please use a leash if needed), not bother other campers, and not engage in prolonged barking. We also ask that any dog poop be placed in the trash receptacle prior to your departure. Please note: Dogs are NOT allowed on the Kingdom Trails except Village Trail section of the network. ​ Smoking Smoking is allowed. Please dispose of cigarette butts and other smoking accessories in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. ​ Quiet Hours Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM daily. ​ Trash and Recycling All trash and recycling must be placed in the receptacles provided. Trash that is not placed in the receptacle may result in a $20 cleaning fee. We will take care of removing trash and recycling after you leave. ​ Please make sure trash bins are securely fastened to keep bears and critters out.

Campfires Fires are to be kept in the provided fire pits ONLY and must be fully extinguished before the last camper retires to bed, or stops attending to the fire. In the unusual event of a local fire ban due to drought, you will be notified that a campfire is not allowed due to the drought and fire ban (this would be a very infrequent occurrence). ​ Please refer to the Burke Area Community Forum Facebook Page for current permissions and restrictions for campfires

No fireworks or firearms may be discharged at any time. ​ Campsite Care The surrounding trees, bushes and other greenery must not be cut, altered, damaged or burned. Please help control the spread of invasive species – do not import firewood from outside of Vermont or from further than 50 miles (more information at the Vermont Department of Forest and Recreation. Note: firewood is available for purchase in East Burke.​
