Pretty but noisy and full of trash

Do not normally comment about trash, but this time, it was everywhere. This place appears to get a lot of visitors from locals, so it is busy on the weekend. We came on a Thursday and other than mostly a lot of RV’s overnighting like us, it was pretty empty. Standard sites in northern most loop are largest and mostly pull through sites. Big and roomy and some on the water. FHU sites are also large, mostly back ins and some pull through sites. Avoid sites on the eastern side which is near I-15. The freeway noise was so loud it prevented sleep, even with ear plugs. Pros: nature trail with lots of birds and deer, fresh water swimming beach, pretty sunsets, and a nice view of the mountains to the east. For $40 a night and the loud traffic, I will look for another location to try.

Stayed here a few nights and it was unbelievably loud.. Tons of road noise from the highway and an early train comes through every morning. Nothing worth seeing here. If you have a boat it may be fun but not for just camping.

Fun spot to get away and fish

This a an awesome camp spot that is right off of I-15 but feels like you are out in the wilderness. In the summer there are lots of bugs so bring bug spray. Pet friendly with a nice beach for the kids. lots of trees so you don't really hear I-15 noise. Full hook ups for trailers and nice tent spots. Bathrooms with running water and fish cleaning stations are really nice. Lots of picnic tables and pavilions to get some shade. Make sure you bring your boat and fishing gear. The whipper fishing can be fun.

Clean and lots of shady camping

This was a great site that was directly across from the water. We didn’t have a view of the Lake from our campsite directly, but it was just a couple of steps and we were swimming in the water.

  • lots of bugs and mosquitos so bring your repellant!
  • Mini nature trails to and from campsites/bathrooms. Kind of cute!
  • A creek runs through the campground as well
  • flushable toilets and running water

Fun little gem with tons to do!

The two main campgrounds on North Marina have options for everyone. Need full hookups with plenty of pull throughs? Choose Cottonwood! Want to do it primative? Right around the corner is Willow! Both are pet friendly and fun for the doggos. Beautiful nature reserve with wild birds of all types. Everything within walking to the reservoir. No wake beach for water sports right down the way from the docks. Bring your bug spray! You'll get eaten alive if you aren't careful.
