Beautiful Landscape

This location was recommended by my girlfriend Andy I'm glad we went. There were a lot of bugs, but if you're prepared for that, it was a great way to beat the heat. (This was on July 15th) 70s during the day, 40s at night. The drive going through the forest was awesome as well. The sites are well kept and they're not packed. Great place to visit.

Better than the campground but kind of sad in dry years

While camping lakeside to get away from the crowds of the developed campground may be a good idea in spring, the dry winter has left this beautiful area as more of a puddle than a lake/reservoir. I wandered around the lake and found quite a few good tent sites tucked among the trees, the only problem was that the water was 100-300' away in spots and some 50' in elevation lower. Maybe after this winter if it's heavy this will be a nice place to camp again, but until then I would head to Mirror Lake or Moosehorn if you want pristine mountain lake camping. Unlike the campground, if you really want to camp here it'll only cost you $6 for 3 days and $12 for the week with a Mirror Lake Hwy rec pass.

Postcard Beautiful Scenery

This is a very nice site even if it is a little busy. The scenery was beautiful, the fishing was good, and it would’ve been a perfect place to paddleboard or kayak if we would’ve had them. The road through the campground is paid which made it nice for us tent campers in smaller Vehicles with low clearance. We were there at the end of June and the water had not been turned on yet but other than that, everything was perfect. I would stay there again.

Family Community

My family and I come here every year and it definitely is a great community camping site! Great for families and the amenities are close and convenient. Fishing, canoeing, hiking, relaxing or even walking alongside the lake are always enjoyable. If you are more of a private camper then I may suggest another campsite. This one always has plenty of people around but you still have plenty of your space as well.

Trial lake is the perfect campground for families to get the camping experience... but be close to water and a bathroom as well. Perfect for families with young children. Great fishing, make sure to bring a canoe!

Very peaceful and far enough away from neighbors to feel privacy! Plenty of spaces to tent down.
