## Overview

 Pine Lake Campground is located next to its scenic namesake lake high on the Colorado Plateau at an elevation of 8,100 feet. Visitors enjoy canoeing, fishing and exploring local hiking and off-road vehicle trails.
## Recreation

 A short trail leads from the campground to Pine Lake, which offers excellent canoeing and kayaking, as well as fishing for rainbow, cutthroat and brook trout. Hiking and off-road vehicle trails are plentiful within the area, however off-road vehicles are not allowed in the campground. The Pine Lake OHV Trailhead is located adjacent to the campground. A loading ramp is provided.
## Facilities

 The campground offers four group sites and 17 family sites. Accessible vault toilets and drinking water are provided. A well-maintained gravel road leads to the campground, providing good access for cars and RVs alike. 
## Natural Features

 Pine Lake is situated at the foot of beautifully forested peaks banded with red and white layers of sandstone. The campground is nestled among a forest of spruce and towering ponderosa pines, and is adjacent to Pine Lake. 
## Nearby Attractions

 Bryce Canyon National Park is approximately 30 minutes from the campground, offering breathtaking scenery and excellent hiking opportunities. Kodachrome Basin State Park is an hour away, with towering rock spires, a natural arch and great hiking trails.

Great campsite, 2 minutes from pine lake.

Conveniently located near Pine Lake. This small lake is great for fishing &amp; kayaking; however, it is always windy. The campground is definitely off the beaten path, but at 8100' elevation it's a great place to beat the heat. Sites can be all sun or all shade. Many first come first serve, which is good for a last minute trip. Clean bathrooms, water at taps, no hookups, no cell service, and closes for the winter by mid-Sept. p.s. You can camp there when it's closed (bathrooms open, water locked), but it's really spooky to be the only ones there.

Dry camping at it's finest. Less than 20 miles to Bryce canyon NP. Huge sites, handles big rigs. Lake has fish. Plenty of off road opportunities.views of Powell Point are within a short drive.

Spectacular setting in the National forest

Absolutely beautiful. The trees against the sand stone is gorgeous. The lake was so pretty. I can’t even describe how beautiful this area is.
There are two loops in the campground. The upper loop is for reservations only. The bottom loop is first come first serve. Bathrooms were clean and water spigots throughout the campground. There are dumpsters at the very end of the road on the way out which is super nice and convenient. A walking trail leads around the lake. Lots of ATV trails nearby. Bryce Canyon is only 30 min away. This has definitely become our new favorite spot. 

AMAZING!!! 

All the reviews are spot on, so I won’t bore you with my details. However, the bugs were relentless. On one occasion, a horsefly bit through my husbands shirt, so be sure to pull out of the bug repellent hacks you can find!

We visited mid-June of 2017...that’s when the massive Brian Head fire happened. We got some ashes at the campsite, but were still able to enjoy the visit.

Beautiful lighting for pictures

We stayed here in our 18ft travel trailer for 4 nights over Labor Day weekend. That 5 mile drive on the gravel road to get to the campsite is no joke — tie down everything that can be tied down — but once you’re there, the sites are relatively well-spaced, there’s good tree cover at most sites (some are more exposed than others), and the toilets are clean. 

The lake was pretty low when we got there, but there’s easy enough access from the campsite. 

From our brief time there, it seemed like this was the best camping in the area if you want something remote enough to feel like you’re camping. A lot of the other campgrounds in the area felt like parking  lots. If you don’t care about fresh water access or toilets, there’s a lot of boondock sites right off the dirt road. 

Remote enough dry camping close to Bryce

I've been coming to Pine Lake for nearly 50 years.  The campground have changed a bit over the years, more spaces, but otherwise much the same as it's always been.  
  
Secluded sites, you rarely see into the sites near you.  Fire rings, log fence around the campground.  Good fishing and boating the lake.  Range cattle, chipmunks, jays and ospreys are the common critters around.

Peaceful Pine Lake

We had spot number 27. Not a bad spot however just be aware it was one of a few spots that have the picnic table and fire pit ring on the right side if facing the campsite. I had to pull forward and do some maneuvering to unhook and get my truck out. 

Bathrooms and campsite were clean. Camp host was nice. Pine lake is a 5 min walk which was nice for paddle boarding and letting the dogs run around. 

2 day stay 

We had a great time and the restrooms were clean.
