Ranger Review: Showers Pass at Kings Creek, UT

Campground Review: We planned our weekend around mountain biking and trekking through National Parks. We camped over Memorial Day weekend, so needless to stay, all the super popular and easy access places were taken. But when that happens, is when you find the real gems everyone overlooks! King's Creek campground is about 10-15 miles from the entrance to Bryce Canyon NP. It is 7 miles up a dirt road located by Tropic Reservoir. $15/night gets you a nice level site, a camp fire ring and a grill with a nice picnic table. This camp ground is popular with AVT's, but has quite after 10 PM rule. It is paved in the camp so dust doesn't get stirred up. There are flush toilets and water available. There is a boat cleaning station and a RV dump. The temperatures fluctuate drastically, it can be in the 70's during the day and dip into the 30's at night, so be prepared with the right gear. Awesome areas not to overlook in the area: Red Canyon, BCNP Water Canyon, Kodachrome Basin State Park. The Thunder Mountain MTB trail is amazing, but was way out of my level of expertise, so i walked a good portion of it, but t is worth the views!

Product Review: Showers Pass https://www.showerspass.com/ They have the BEST Mission Statement: To inspire and enable the pursuit of outdoor adventure

As a Ranger for the Dyrt, I get products to test from tiem to time- This weekend I demoed the Showers Pass Gravel Shorts and the Syncline Jacket. During my camp trip the weather was hot and dry so I did not use the jacket, but i got plenty of use the week before at home in the rain! (see photos) The shorts got plenty of use!

The Showers Pass Syncline Jacket https://www.showerspass.com/collections/womens/products/womens-syncline-jacket?variant=27454448965 This jacket has great long sleeves that don't fall short when on the bike. The longer tail keep your backside free of muddy splashes. The pit zips are easily managed while riding with great zipper pulls. The jacket is designed to wear the hood under the helmet and that will take some getting used to. Kept me dry in light rain. Light and packable. Can't wait to put it to a tougher test!

The Showers Pass Gravel Shorts are excellent! https://www.showerspass.com/collections/womens/products/womens-gravel-shorts They are adjustable up or down a size or two, but fit me perfectly right out of the box. I'm 5'6" 140 lb. ordered a size Medium. They have vents on the thighs and nice deep Velcro closure pockets. They only come in black with blue stitching, I will order another pair if other colors are released! If they were a tad longer that would be great, too.
