TravelerWe definitely got off-road with this one and 4WD was required. The view was amazing and very little traffic.
GuideThe drive up great. Highly recommend a 4x4 lifted vehicle. Airing down to 15psi made the drive up very smooth. Roads are very rocky and steep. Other than that, if you have a 4x4 vehicle you will be fine. Reaching the top, I highly recommend making a right turn into Wire Mesa and you will see sites…
GuideCamped nearby as I couldn’t make it up the initial road, beautiful area but strongly recommend approaching via Apple Valley. A group of us (4runner, jeep, Land Rover) all called it quits once we got around the bend when approaching from Rockville.
