The road you take is Sheep Bridge Rd, I believe. It’s next to a cute subdivision and down the road from Fort Zion (cute novelties and gifts). You just keep driving to the back and eventually you will see signs that say camp sights are there. It wasn’t super busy when we stay and the camp sites have established fire pits. The view was absolutely incredible and we were pretty much left alone. Close to La Verkin if you need supplies.
A great place to camp. No sign to attract crowds of people. Scenic setting and you are surrounded by buttes in several directions. Some assigned sites but most are dispersed camping. In early May no wind, however few trees are present if wind is an issue
The road heading to this campsite is pretty rough, yet manageable. Beautiful area with great views of the mesas, but there is no blocking the wind. Sand/dirt padding of a huge circle area with no exact camp spots--just set up wherever!
