Nice place for a few days

Nice pull through sites. Some with plenty of privacy and shade. Showers were not too clean but acceptable. Beach was ok for wading in but was not appealing to actually swim in. Hiking trails were great!! Very picturesque. Big manitou falls is right there at the campground off the main road. And little manitou was well worth the hike. You can also drive there. There’s a great store that has everything you may have forgotten. Also refill propane tanks. It’s on cty hwy B east of the park 5 min

Falls were amazing!

I live in Wisconsin and it took me this long to come see this state park and the Big Manitou Falls

Unfortunately they were closed for the season so I had to car camp nearby.

Just Okay

After reading the reviews, and also after depending time previously at Minnesota state park campgrounds, I was disappointed. It's an okay campground but I wouldn't stay here again. I have read that the campground had some tough times, & it shows in places. The dhower/restroom building needs some repairs. It was not clean. Stall door latches need replacing. The dower stalls were actually disgusting. In the mens room, only one of 3 urinals worked. Campsites were small & close together. Not much privacy between most sites. No staff on hand to answer questions. Overall, I didn't get a good vibe at this campground.
