<strong>Campground closed for the winter</strong>. During winter operations at Lake Roosevelt's campgrounds camping will only be available at Spring Canyon, Fort Spokane and Kettle Falls campgrounds.
Camping in this campground remains reservation-only through Recreation.gov; first-come, first-served camping is not available. Once you arrive on-site, please pickup a reservation receipt tag from the information kiosk to complete and hang/display at your reserved campsite. Restroom facilities are limited to vault toilets. You will also need to bring your own drinking water.

Site on Jones Bay
Dirt road to a primitive road that’s one way at some points with a steep-ish grade down. No water. Vault toilets. But a spot overlooking a canyon wall with cool foliage around!
PLEASE NOTE: This campground is still closed for COVID until June 1
We made several phone inquiries and then finally visited May 15-17 weekend. Met a ranger at the closed gate to Jones and he explained that they are inexplicably remaining closed THROUGH Memorial Day weekend. This is the opposite of the recorded message, so save yourself the disappointment.

Directions
Jones Bay is 77 miles from Spokane as you head west on I-90. Drive 3 miles west on I-90 take exit 277 for US 2 West toward the Spokane Airport/Davenport. Stay on US two traveling through Airway Heights. About 55 miles turn right onto Sherman Draw Rd. N. in 4.3 miles turn left on Sherman Rd. E. Follow for 2 miles then turn right onto Jones Bay Rd. N. The campground is 3 miles down a sandy narrow road.__ If coming from Wilbur, WA Jones Bay is 1 miles. Head East on NW Main Ave toward SE Division St. Pass Key Bank 0.2 miles. Turn left on NE Brace St. follow 2 miles. Turn right onto Sherman Rd E. 1 mile. Turn left onto Hanson Harbor Rd. follow for 7.6 miles. Slight right onto Jones Bay Rd. N. In 3 miles you will arrive in the campground.__ ALERT: Make sure you are intending on coming to Jones Bay on Lake Roosevelt. There is also a Jones Bay on nearby Steamboat Rock State park.____
